Beginning of April 2004 Update:

Much
of the outer wall insulation is now installed, revealing the overall shape of
the building (minus the cupola).

The
picture to the left shows the main entrance, and the one on the right shows the
interior as it looks from the main entrance.

Left:
Interior view from the NW corner (altar).
Right: Interior view from the SE corner (main entrance).
These pictures were taken on a Sunday after services, when the
congregation was given an opportunity to view the construction progress.

To
the left is a close-up of the cupola base and ceiling (the cupola opening is
still temporarily closed). To the right is a close-up of the ceiling above the
main entrance (if you look closely, you can see the head of a bird peeking out).
End of April 2004 Update:

The
outer wall insulation appears to be complete and the outer stone work is
beginning to be laid.

These
views of the main entry show the parking lot curb and walkway.

This
view of the North East corner shows the cupola being constructed. It's actually
quite a large, substantial structure. The picture to the right shows the
interior from the North West corner of the building, looking through what will
be the wall behind the altar.

To
the left is a view of the bathroom on the south side of the building (there were
a number of early construction pictures taken from what is now outside and to
the left). The picture to the right shows the view through the main entry into
the narthex and the entry into the nave.
This
picture shows the interior as viewed from where the altar will be located. The
entrance from the narthex is in the lower left corner of the shot. The structure
being built at the junction of the ceiling and wall is the enclosure for the air
conditioning and heating ducts. It will pass over the narthex entry and along
the full length of the two walls adjoining the narthex entry.
