Construction has started! These pictures were taken in early December.
(Click on any of the pictures below for an enlarged view.)
The
Y'all (youth ministry) building has been moved, the entry porch and access ramp
built, and the sidewalk poured. We should soon be able to re-occupy this
building. In the foreground is a portion of the new parking lot. This shot is
looking south-east from approximately the center of the new parking lot.
Before
construction on the new sanctuary could begin, a drainage retention pond had to
be constructed on the south end of the property. This shot of the new berm is
looking west from Parkfield and shows the drainage pipes and retaining wall.

Here
are a couple of views of the foundation preparation for the new church building.
To the left is a view from the rear of the existing church building, looking
towards the north-east. To the right is a view looking south-east from the
corner of Parkfield and Braker.
Mid-December Update:

Work
continues on the new church building foundation. The underground plumbing has
been put in place and the concrete poured for the outer wall supports. These
pictures are taken from approximately the same locations as the ones immediately
above.

Here
are close-up shots of some of the plumbing and outer portions of the
building slab. These views are of the south-west and south corners of the
building and show a portion of what will be one of the restrooms off the
narthex.
