Beginning of July 2004 Update:

The outer wall covering and window decoration
appears to be almost complete. Observe the exterior lighting fixtures and roof
vents.

Views
of the main entrance and the NW corner. Although the floor is now covered with
protective cardboard, we are still not allowed to enter.

Interior
views shot through the windows of the South side into the nave and the East side
into the narthex.

The
cross for the top of the cupola is waiting in one of the Sunday school rooms for
installation. The objects at the base are color and texture samples for the
interior.
Middle of July 2004 Update:

The
cross is installed on top of the cupola
(for more pictures, click here).

With
the cross in place, the exterior looks close to completion. The corner of the
building nearest the intersection of Braker and Parkfield streets now shows the
church name and the Episcopal shield.

Views
of the main entrance and the NE corner with the cross in place.
A
lot has been done in the interior as can be seen in these pictures: the interior
has been painted, lighting fixtures installed, sound system and altar lighting
installation begun, etc. Progress continues to be made on the altar platform and
the choir stalls.

To
the left is a close-up of the sound system speakers. And to the right are
pictures of the top of the cupola before and after the cross was installed.
(Yes, the base of the cross does pass completely through the top of the cupola.)
End
of July 2004 Update:

Finishing
touches are taking place on the exterior of the building. For example, the fence
hiding the air conditioning equipment is now up.

The
new parking lot is now paved and striped.
In the interior, the new pews have been set in place (and are
waiting to be bolted to the floor) and the wood accent trim for the reredos (the
screen at the back of the altar) is installed.

Here
are views looking from the narthex into the nave (from the entry into the church
proper, for those of use who don't use 'church-speak') and from the altar
towards the narthex, which show the front and back of the pews.

Here
are closer views of the cupola dome interior (showing the cap over the base of
the cross) and some of the detail of the reredos decoration.
