Beginning of May 2004 Update:
More
of the outer stone work has been laid. Door and window frames are in place. The
large air handler unit has been put in place.
These
views of the main entry show the parking lot curb and walkway.
This
view of the North East corner shows the cupola being constructed. When complete,
it will be lifted as a unit into place on the roof. The picture to the right
shows the sacristy behind the wall behind the altar.
These pictures
show the
interior from the South side (left) and North West corner (right) of the building, looking
at the wall behind the altar, which is now in place.
Middle of May 2004 Update:
Although
hard to see in these pictures, the doors have been hung and the window glass put
in place.
The
main entry doors are hung and the cupola construction is proceeding.
This
view of the narthex shows some of the air conditioning duct work and one of the
doorways into the nave. The picture on the right shows the church interior from
the main entry door and looking to the right (notice the cupola just outside the
window).
These pictures show the raised platforms for the choir stalls and altar. The
organ will be located just in front of the choir.
Here
is a view of the altar platform from the other side, and a closer view taken
from the choir platform.
Behind
the altar, the sacristy and vesting areas for the clergy and choir are taking
shape. This view is of the vesting areas from the sacristy.
