The Last Service in the Old Church
The old worship area at St. John's has been remodeled and
expanded several times. The previous renovation was completed in 1988. At the conclusion of the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, 22 August 2004, the
furnishings were moved to the new church in preparation for the next remodeling
of the old worship area into a chapel and a multipurpose meeting area.
These pictures, taken prior to the last service, show the nave
and sanctuary as it has been for the last sixteen or so years. (The organ
console has already
been removed for renovation, but you can see the bass pipes stacked in the south
corner of the east wall.)

After
the service, the sanctuary furnishings, as well as the altar top, were moved to
the new worship space.
