September 12th, 2004 — Dedication:

Just
prior to the formal dedication service on Sunday, September 12th, 2004, the new
grass is beginning to come in (protected by temporary fences along the
walkways).

The
liturgical band is playing at the main entrance prior to the service.
The
entry procession begins to form. The dedication service begins with a procession
about the new building, pauses while the Bishop knocks for admittance and the
church doors are unlocked and opened, and continues into the new sanctuary.
After
the service of dedication, the altar, tabernacle, ambo (a stand used as both
lectern and pulpit), credence tables (tables near the altar used to hold the
sacred vessels), communion rail, candlesticks, Paschal Candle, and the rest of
the furnishings, fixtures, and utensils are ready for use.

In
the old church sanctuary and nave, which is in the process of being remodeled to
become a small chapel and several multi-purpose meeting and class rooms, tables
and chairs are ready for a luncheon following the dedication service.
